Position: Part-time Ramp Specialist
Job Summary:
Prepare gate and bag room for flight arrival and departure per company, airport and airline SOPs while ensuring the safe and timely handling of the aircraft while in the station.
Parking and departing aircraft, off load and loading passenger bags, cargo and mail, pickup and delivery of passenger baggage to/from designated belt system, load/unload wheelchairs and strollers and deliver to designated location, marshalling or towing aircraft to gate positions, service potable water, lav service, ensure aircraft interior and gate area are clean and clear of foreign object debris.
Operate GSE including but not limited to; belt loaders, tow tractors, baggage tractors, tow bars, ASU, GPU, vans, dollies, air stairs, MDL.
Adhere to all safety procedures, report immediately any safety infractions or incidents as per SMS policy, complete and comply with all company, airport and airline mandated training items, other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Weekend availability is mandatory
- Must hold valid airport Airside Vehicles Operators Driving Permit (DA)
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Hold a high school diploma
- Able to lift heavy objects unaided and repetitively weighing up to 32kg
- Willing to work under various climactic conditions
- Capacity to work under strict timelines
- Excellent Health & Safety Awareness
- Must possess a valid driver’s license G2 or higher
- Pass security clearance and obtain Transport Canada RAIC
